“When the Brooklyn Public Library asked for designs of classic children’s book characters it was a dream project come true. What Children’s book illustrator wouldn’t love to interpret classic characters?! I was naughty as a child like Peter Rabbit. Instead of stealing carrots I would steal strawberries from my neighbor’s yard. My neighbor has a photograph of three-year-old James caught in the act. It was fun to create these characters in my world and I hope you like them too."
James Yang has won 285 awards for animation & illustration excellence.
